Hiiiiiiiiii!!

I’m so glad to be sending out another update to you all! How is everyone?? It’s been such a joy to be able to catch up with so many people since being back and hear about all the exciting things happening in everyone’s lives :) 

I have been back home now for about a month and a half (which is crazy!!) and it has been a time of figuring a lot of things out and transitioning back into something so different than what things were like when I was away. But I’ve also of course been reflecting on, learning, and processing a lot of things (and still a lot more to be done!). There are so many memories and moments, both good and challenging, that have just clung to my heart, it feels like. I remember the situations we saw God redeem, the people we saw filled with a renewed purpose, and the pieces we saw fall in place as parts of much bigger stories. So many things I can't shake, but in the best way. It feels so intentional to be passionate about things I know many would consider to be too difficult, hopeless, or irrelevant. There is so much out there, so many people. There’s always more love to give, receive, and share. There’s always more of God that He gives and we can receive and share. As such, I am planning to remain in missions, to be full time partnering with the work happening in the nations moving forward. 

Right now, I’m in the process of figuring out what this looks like 😅. There are a lot of opportunities in front of me which I am so grateful for, but it’s also pretty overwhelming! 

The work of YWAM Medical Ships Australia & Papua New Guinea was incredible, and I felt like I got to be a part of something so special and so in line with how I desired to be involved in health and medical work. But while I was away, I also felt that there was something for me to do with dance moving forward. Not going to lie, I was so confused 🤣 and felt very inadequate in my abilities, but He’s opened a door for me! I have decided to join Arrows International as part of a team traveling to El Salvador for the month of July this summer. Arrows International is a dance company which focuses on “impacting the nations through dance, spiritually developing and equipping artists, and connecting passionate worship with artistic excellence”. This summer program is intentionally designed for those who are trained dancers wanting to learn how to connect their skills with the field of missions and service work. The company has been building relationships with communities in El Salvador, and we will be partnering with a YWAM base there, among many other things, during our time there. I am very excited (and also very nervous!!) for this opportunity! 

I have decided to pursue this program with Arrows International and I plan to then return back to be with YWAM full time on a base that serves alongside YWAM Medical Ships in Papua New Guinea but also does work with the creative arts! I would be able to take on many roles in serving through both healthcare and dance. So, so many details are still being worked out and prayed through on this, but I’m confident in how He will work it all out! I am pumped about serving in El Salvador this summer and for all God is doing there, and I am so thankful to have the opportunity to learn about what dance in missions looks like so I can better serve in the longer term things that He’s placed in front of me! 

Since being home, I have jumped back into working in any ways I can! I am very grateful for what the Lord has provided for me to be able to do in order to fund what’s ahead.
