DTS Update 5!

Hellooooooo!!! I have officially been here for over a month 😅 which is soooo crazy!! I’m just so grateful to be where I am, learning and doing what I absolutely love!! THE LORD IS SO GOOD, check Him out if you’re curious 😉. 

We wrapped up identity week and have moved into our week on lordship. Both have been absolutely wild and the speakers we’ve had have been amazing! I love being challenged and pushed to grow, so I’ve been having a great time 🤣. 

It’s starting to get hotter and more humid here as summer is starting, but I love it! It for sure doesn’t feel like it’s November though! I hope everyone is doing well! Enjoy some silly highlights!

Highlights 🤩🤩🤩

• We had the chance to go to a Christian leadership breakfast one morning - great food, great fellowship, and great time learning about all that’s going on even outside our ministry!

• WE HAD CHICKEN ALFREDO ONE NIGHT FOR DINNER AND IT WAS EPIC

• As usual, family taim on Wednesday was a blast! We also started to do spirit days on Wednesdays which just adds to the fun!

• Our global health elective time this past week was soooooooooo good! We had a guest speaker zooming in and he just brought so much fire into the topic of being truly compassionate. 

• Ariah and I had a super fun day outside hanging out with some other kids on campus just chilling, playing, and drawing with chalk!

• We went to an animal sanctuary!!!! Our cohort’s excursion for our time here was to a local animal sanctuary. I saw so many fun animals of Australia! I pet a kangaroo and did not get karate kicked! I even held a koala! So fun!

• One of our leader’s sister is a musician and she did a little concert for us! She mainly plays violin and sings, but she also loops! It was actually one of the most impressive things I’ve ever witnessed.

• A few of us went out on Saturday night to just be lights in some of the darkest, most hopeless parts of the city. It was actually so epic - fun and lifechanging!! Giving myself a turkey for even going 🫸🤛

• I still have yet to get a sunburn, and I think that counts as a W

• SCHOOL VISITS!! Ahhhh this past was soooo good! We are starting to get familiar with more of the kids there, and it’s just been so cool to learn from them and just be someone for them to talk to!
