DTS Update 6!

Hi hi!!! How is everyone?? I’m doing so well!! This past has genuinely been so amazing and I’m so excited to share so many highlights with you all!!

The past few days have been very long and full (including one 8am-1am day 🤣🤣). We finished up with Lordship and are now onto missions for this week’s main topic! Time outside of the classroom has been full of so many good moments as well, so enjoy this short update but long list of highlights!!

Highlights 🤌🤌🤌

• There were lots of birthdays this past week, so fun to celebrate during Wednesday’s family taim!!

• Each week, I meet with my assigned one-on-one - she’s the best!! This past week we went on a walk together along The Strand, Townsville’s beach area, and it was just the best time!

• Friday, our last day of Lordship week, was sooooooo good! This was our long day, but it was full of so much worship and seeking the Lord that it was just absolutely epic! 

• On Saturday, we finally made it to Magnetic Island!! This island is just a short ferry ride away from Townsville and is beautiful!! We hiked a little bit and just rested on the beaches there. No one got lost or stung by a jellyfish, so it was a great day!!!

• At dinner on Sunday, one of our leaders (who’s half Swedish) made us a Swedish dish called Flying Jacob. It’s essentially a bunch of things put together that you would never think to put together. It was so fun to try!

• We had a little paint and chill night to celebrate our friends’ birthdays!

• Monday morning, the entire campus came together to decorate for Christmas!!! This was sooooo fun (sorry, I’ve been saying a lot of things are fun)!!!! I got to put up lights and trees, and we each have our own stocking! Campus looks so festive now and I love it!!!!

• A sweet couple who have spent years and years here are leaving to move back to the US :( which is soooo sad, but we had a great ice cream night to say goodbye!

• Airah and I are having more great days together! I’ve also been getting closer with the other kids on campus which has been the absolute best!! They are all the sweetest and it’s such a blessing to play with them!

• Yesterday I slept in to 8am 💪, catching some absolute bomb zzzzzzz’s 💤

I feel sooooooo blessed to be here and to get to have so many fun moments in the middle of everything else!!! I pray that everyone has the most amazing Thanksgiving!! I’m sooooooo thankful for all of you!!!!
